From 1985 to 1994, an ARS Agnouni Chapter existed in Sacramento, California, but it was dissolved due to lack of membership. The new ARS Agnouni Chapter was established in the City of Campbell, a suburb of San Jose, in Northern California on June 12, 2010. Sossie Poladian, Chairperson of the ARS of Western U.S.A., Regional Executive at the time, served as Godmother to the 12 new members who took their oath. 100 years after Edgar Agnouni helped to establish the ARS in New York, the new chapter, formed on the onset of the 2nd Century of the ARS, was unanimously voted to be named the Agnouni Chapter by the new members.
The first chapter executive members were the following:
Vera Kambourian, Chairperson
Betty Erin Momjian, Vice-Chairperson
Alenoosh Hovasapian, Secretary
Rina Chanchanian, Treasurer
Lernike Hovasapian, Accountant
The chapter has already started to conduct community events and has cooperatively organized seminars and a fashion show with the two other Bay Area chapters, Garin of San Francisco and Erepouni of Oakland.
