Armenian Relief Society of Western U.S.A. (ARS-WUSA), Social Services Offices serve the needs of the community members. ARS clients have been new immigrants, refugees and the elderly, who have difficulties in accessing services due to language barriers and hardships in adjusting to their new lives. The offices help individuals and families by providing them case management services, and helping them become self-sufficient and productive members of society. The offices help solve societal problems including homelessness, joblessness, and language barriers. Services are provided by multilingual case workers, in the following languages in addition to English: Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, French, Russian, and Spanish. The following are the key multilingual services provided by social services offices free of charge to clients:

  • General Social Services: Information; referrals; interpretation; translations; transportation; outreach and advocacy
  • Case Management
  • Employment Services
  • Elderly Services
  • Referrals to Counseling Services
  • English as a Second Language/Life Skills Classes
  • Canned and dry food, and toy distribution during the holiday season
