ARS Anahid Chapter: Tradition Is Our Heartbeat

His Holiness Catholicos Aram I declared 2025 the Year of Revival of Traditions, and the ARS Anahid Chapter responded with a resounding YES, organizing an evening of traditional Armenian song and dance on April 6. Ungerouhi Sona Madarian, the emcee, spoke about the Catholicos’ message for 2025, explaining that tradition isn’t just a part of who we are — it is what connects us. It bridges our past and present, preserves our language, faith, and culture, and keeps our identity alive across generations and continents. Even in the Diaspora, it’s tradition that holds us together, reminding us of who we are and where we come from. It’s not just heritage — it’s our heartbeat.

Hamazkayin’s Nayiri Dance Ensemble and Sayat Nova Choral Group, soloist Tehmine Boghosian, reciter Haverj Sanosian, and the Armenian Ethnographic Music Ensemble presented a beautiful evening of traditional Armenian cultural emblems in music and dance to a full house at the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School Hall.  Even the audience sang along!
